Strength:
Excellent outdoor video quality.
Weakness:
Indoor without light is substandard. Stills to mc are terrible. Very user-friendly except for the fade feature. You need to push the button on the inside of bodyto activate or deactivate. Makes for a unstable picture as you "feel" for the button.

Strength:
Easy to use Good in low light Cheap!!! Solid, well put together hardware
Weakness:
Manual is poorly written. Digital Effects not easy to use This is a great camera, especially for a first-time user. I read ALL of the reviews around the Web, and then took a look at everything in an actual store. I am a VERY picky shopper. Many of the camcorders felt really flimsy, especially at the lower end, but suprisingly even some of the less expensive Sonys. (JVCs felt downright cheap.) The Cannon is a solid, well-built and easy to use (for point-and-shoot purposes) camera. Takes beautiful pictures. Many of the reviews around the Web criticized this camera for "poor low light" capability. I don''t see it--I take videos of my baby at night with just the lamps of the room on and the pictures come out perfect. I suppose outside under streetlights there may be an issue -- I don''t know -- but even so, how often will you do that? I also read in the reviews that battery life is low --but if you are like me, and take videos in short snaps for posterity''s sake, this just isn''t a problem at all. I used it all day on Christmas, and before that all day on Thanksgiving, and didn''t have a battery issue in any way. If you are looking for a surprisingly inexpensive camera that takes reliable, high quality videos, you can''t beat the price of the Cannon. Highly recommended. Customer Service Don''t know yet... |
