Strength:
Good in a pinch. Very portable (small and light). With the optional SD (up to 256Mb) card, it will take 1000+ pictures and around 2 hours of video with sound. I just purchased a DV5700 which takes up to 1Gb SD card and has a motion stabilizer (if you shake a bit while taking a video it "evens" things out for you). I will be writing a review on this in the future (haven't played with it enough yet). Overall, the DV3300 is great for beginners and have seen it advertized for a whole lot less than what I payed for it!
Weakness:
The 4X Zoom is not physical which means it will give you a larger, but more grainy, photograph. Doesn't have rechargeable batteries so I suggest you keep some spare AA's if you're going to use it for extended periods. The Aiptek DV 3300 is a 3Mega Pixel (4Mp by interpolation) Still/video/Mp3/Web/voice recorder. It is small and light with a built-in strobe/flash. It runs on 4 AA batteries or USB power. Customer Service I never needed costomer service (yet) so I can't comment. It keeps on going! I haven't dropped it either, but wouldn't want to try! Similar Products Used: Step up to the Aiptek DV5700 or (coming soon) the DV5900. These have 5 Mega pixel resolution and a battery charger is part of the package. |
