Professional
Strength:
The construction of it is top notch, pockets on the outside for your eye-cup adapter and lens hood cover make storage and access a breeze
Weakness:
Don't lose the eye cup adapter, at 40 bucks its upsetting when you lose it and makes shooting difficult or near impossible. If you shoot Nikon your SOL in that category. It is possible to Mcgyver the neoprene opening around the piece on the back of a canon that protrudes but its not ideal,
Fall is in Full swing right now and for some people that means rain and soon to come along with that snow. Before i found out about the hydrophobia cover, and was smart enough to buy it, i had taken my chances with shooting in the rain, trusting that the weather sealing in my Eos1 series cameras would do the trick and keep my gear happy. After shooting in the rain, getting my camera covered in mud and having to pay around 200 bucks to get a lens cleaned with condensation dried inside of it from one of my rainy outings i decided to pick up the Think tank Hydrophobia. When i first got the cover i was un sure that the 200 dollars that i had spent on the cover/eyepiece combo was a wise choice. at first glance and use the cover is bulky, awkward and its hard to see the LCD screen. This opinion changed after a few days of using it in the rain and overnight on camping trips. the feeling of uncertainty that i had had in the past when i had worried about if my gear was going to fail on me was completely dissipated. I now no longer worry at all about if my camera/lens is going to get trashed because i know the cover is going work flawlessly. this cover is a must have for any photographer, and aside from shooting underwater, i am confident that the product will keep my camera dry and clicking for years to come.
