Strength:
Very ergonomic, great suspension system that hold lots of camera weight close to your body for comfortable hiking and bouldering. Big enough for a 35 mm body, 2 lenses, some film or filters.Thoughful strap on the back lets you also carry a lightweight tripod and jacket, and you can slide a water bottle on to the waist strap. Movable interior dividers help.
Weakness:
When it's loaded, it tends to fall over. I wish it was an inch longer and an inch wider so the camera body fit better, especially w/ an autowinder. I've also found myself wishing that there was a zip compartment in the lid where you could stash some more film, and that the lip flipped withwide instead of lengthwise A great pack for carrying the basic photo essentials. You can't cart around a ton of stuff in this but that's probably not what you bought it for anyway. Unlike a lot of waist packs, this really does support the weight very well. I've filled it up, strapped a tripod on the outside and gone for runs on rough terrain. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Cramming photo stuff in a mountainsmith lumbar pack or day pack; more room but not nearly as good for quick access. |

Strength:
Super-fast access to camera. Compact, lightweight, ergonomic fit,
Weakness:
doesn't sit up well with tripod attached. This awesome little camera bag gives me more and better pictures than any other camera bag because it lets me take pictures that would otherwise be missed. It's especially great while hiking, skiing and partying. I wear the Photo Runner in front of my waist while skiing. When skiing with an impatient group of friends, I can stop, pull the camera from the bag, and be set up for a shot in under 15 seconds. This allows me take a lot of great shots that otherwise would be missed. No other bag is so quick. There's a trick to using the zipper, however. Once I figured it out I could catch great fleeting shots. Before this bag, I was almost thinking of going back to a compact camera for getting those quick shots that I could never get with a more cumbersome 35 mm in a photobag. With the PhotoRunner, I'm very pleased to use my 35 mm in the field, on the road, and at the spur of the moment. Similar Products Used: None |

Weakness:
Not enough pockets, no mesh, not big enough for my Nikon F80. I was set on buying this when I first saw it but then I brought my Nikon N80 in (with a 28-80mm lens attached) for a fitting. My camera barely fits... I find there's not enough room for the camera and basic accessories (filters, film, brush, etc.) I ended up getting a Nova 1. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Compact, well-balanced when worn the way it's designed to. When carried by the shoulder strap, it balances very well. Excellent materials and design.
Weakness:
Long zip-top, balance not good when fully-loaded and sitting on flat surface. No one bag can fit *all* requirements, and this concept drives this review. Customer Service Not too good Similar Products Used: None |

Photo Runner Compact Belt Pack
Strength:
Easy to throw over your shoulder or strap on as a fanny pack. If a bag is too big, you are less likely to take it with you. This bag, however, is compact but still can carry a body, extra lens or two, film and cleaning supplies. Perfect for my needs.
Weakness:
Nope. If you don't need 18 lens with you, this is the perfect bag. Easy to transport, well made, padded, adjustable inserts and reasonable price all make this bag a winner in my book. I found it for $44 at B&H Photo. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: None. |

Photo Runner Compact Belt Pack
Strength:
well constructed, inexpensive,
Weakness:
a bit too good- has lots of straps I originally bought this for a mtb trip and was going to strap it to my waist, but wait, it's pretty bulky, but still possible. So instead, for biking, I got a large camelback thing (blackburn rush 100 for my SLR-which worked very well). Customer Service none Similar Products Used: SLR zip pouch top load- those are totally useless and are very obvious. and aren't well protected either- 'si |
