Strength:
Lots of room in a small package. Good protection from impacts. Good Price & great versatibility (especially replaced with Case 4).
Weakness:
Can't carry tripod. Needs better material for the contoured shoulder pad. The standard lens pocket is too small, they should make Case 4 as a standard pocket. I only carry Eos30w/BP300 attached with 28-135IS, 50/1.8 & 550EX but suprisingly I found it quite heavy, & uncomfortable with the shoulder pad on. I always want a beltpack but now I rather go for a backpack instead. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Canon custom softcase. |

Strength:
Shape and ease of fitting it around your waist. Can take more equipment than you'd ink from it's exterior size.
Weakness:
Lack of durability. Doesn't fit around a N90 body. The second time I used this bag after I bought it, the hand strap completely ripped. (And it wasn't overpacked or anything). So much for durability... Furthermore it has a hard time fitting around a Nikon N90S with MB-10 attached. So I haven't had much luck with it, even though it should work with a smaller camera and if you get one that wasn't made on a monday morning. I decided to get a Domke instead because I don't trust LowePro with my equipment anymore. Customer Service They repaired it, (after a long time wait) but I'm not convinced it's up to standard now. Off Trail 2 Belt Pack
Strength:
After using a small photo backpack for a year, I needed something I could into more easily while on the move and went looking for a belt pack. The Off Trail 2 carries everything I need for a day in the woods: body and winder, flash, film, filters, and 4 lenses split between the main compartment and the Slip-Lock cases. All in a very manageable package. Add to that the high quality of Lowepro products, and I place this as one of the best photo purchases I've made. If you want a bag to hold a fair selection of equipment and still be comfortable to wear and somewhat inconspicuous, this is definitely one to look at.
Weakness:
I wish there were a few velcro attachment points on the bag's exterior for even more space, but they are easy enough to add after the fact. I started with a typical over-shoulder bag that was hard to organize and even harder to get equipment in and out of. Switching to a small daypack-type bag was an improvement, but was difficult to make lens/filter changes on the run. The Off Trail 2 answers all my needs: just enough room for what I carry most often AND easy to maneuver in, even on the go. Similar Products Used: Lowepro Orion AW, Tamrac daypacks |

Strength:
waist strap places all of weight on hips
Weakness:
no straps for attaching small tripod or umbrella I carted this bag all over New Orleans for a week. It works great. When using the waist strap, the weight of your equipment isn't noticeable. I carry the camera body, three lenses and a large flash. In the external mesh pocket, I keep a notepad and pen for recording exposure information. There's a inside panel velcro'ed to the back of the bag that makes a great place to keep your camera manuals. If you only need to carry a small amount of equipment, I highly recommend this bag. Strength:
well balanced distribution of weight; can guzzle a lot of gear
Weakness:
no tripod carrying facility. A very good pack for anyone who is out there to pack minimum gear in the most comfortable way. Lots of pouches can be added; keeps your hands free and your camera ready for action. Similar Products Used: lowepro photorunner |

Off Trail 2 Belt Pack
Strength:
Holds an Nikon F5 with Nikkor F/2.8 80-200mm Lens attached.
Weakness:
None This is one of the only belt bags I found that would hold a F5 with a F/2.8 80-200mm lens attached. The camera and lens face downward into the bag. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: None |
