Strength:

Compact and handy to use. Also fine to store a camera.

Protects the camera and lens quite well from both the elements and incidental bumps and clunks.

All weather flaps and zippers.

Fair size storage compartment in front.

Solid harness connectors usable with other strap systems.

Acccesories bags strap on to 'system'. (Lens and accessory cases)

With shorter lens (compact/consumer zooms <-200mm or shorter Fixed length) more room under the camera for 'stuff'.

Weakness:

Like all bags of this type can seem bulky.

Lowepro bagswithout a dose of Fabric Protector (like Scotchguard or Camp Dry) seem to stain fairly easily, but the liquid doesn't penetrate.

Can be awkward or slightly unbalanced on just a shoulder strap. Really too big for use on a belt.

This is the middle of three sizes of this bag/case. The 65,70,75 Top Loaders in the All Weather style are worth more than a casual glance for anyone toting a camera.

More convenient in many cases than a backpack, these almost qualify as small system bags. If you are carrying a backpack with overnight gear, this with a chest harness might be the solution for the overnight/weekend photo camper who needs a little more than a camera cover but doesn't want the penalty of a handheld or over the shoulder type case. Also the camera is 'at the ready' with this style .

When working with my cameras in busy or hostile enviroments keeping it in from of me and padded has been a 'camera saver' more than a few times. Though meant to be carried (including as a harness) they can be big, but still far more convenient than a pouch bag that will carry a similiar amount.

The AW design with extra zippers and the heavy snap also protects from all variety of elemental problems including soda/beer/liquids as well as rain/snow/mud.

The various sizes of this style of bag also make for will provide a well sized soulution without excess space consumption.
