Strength:

~Plenty of room for essential accessories. (Memory cards, batteries, etc.).
~Fast accessing for all compartments – especially the camera one.
~Panasonic Lumix FZ7 fits well. (I inserted a few pieces of cloth to achieve the snug fit).
~Protection from the elements is excellent.
~Does not absorb much heat from the sun.
~Quite cheap & good value.
~Portable and relatively compact.
~Many ways of carrying. (Belt loop, handle, shoulder strap, etc.).

Weakness:

~The belt loop is a single piece, so in order to attach/detach the bag you must partially remove your belt. (A snap-on-style belt loop would have been much more desirable).
~Bag gets worn out quite fast.
~When the extra compartments are full, it becomes hard to insert/retrieve the camera, since it gets hemmed in by the surrounding accesories. Also, since the padding is relatively thin, the camera can get scratched if you stuff in too many accessories.
~Padding seems a little on the scant side. (There’s plenty, but not as much as I’d like).
~Shoulder strap is rather narrow.

I bought this camera bag to replace a little Panasonic CZH7, since that one had only enough room for a camera and SD card/battery pack. Also, since I acquired a UV Haze-1 filter to protect my FZ7K's lens, I needed a bag in which camera/hood adapter/filter would fit.

The DCB-56 fit the bill nicely. It has a good-sized camera compartment, two accessory ones on either side and also a small pocket on the front, under the top flap. SD cards, battery packs, filters & mini-tripod fit, if they are arranged properly.

The ease-of-use is excellent! When the top flap is zipped down, but left unclipped, the camera inside can be very rapidly accessed by grasping the flap and pulling it upwards. Missing shots won’t happen often if you use this technique.

When expecting action, I recommend carrying this bag over your left shoulder with the clip un-clipped and with the belt loop facing outwards. This way, it is much easier to quickly pull up the top flap. (If you are a leftie, carry the bag over your right shoulder).

Another feature which I like is protection from the elements. By making sure that all openings are securely zipped shut, this bag can easily sustain a moderate rainfall, dust storms, and direct sun. Also, in spite of its dark coloring, it does not absorb much heat – which is great, since no one wants ruined or smoking gear.

Lastly, I recommend to actually go to the store with your camera and try out the different bags/cases, since they have different dimensions and the camera may not fit.

I tried this particular one at the store, and my camera did not fit exactly right. However, in the end I decided to buy it because it was much cheaper than others and also because I knew that by inserting a few pieces of cloth the camera would then fit snugly.
