Review 3 of 4
Model Reviewed: SMCP 67 105mm f/2.4 Summary: I picked this lens because it is handy to have a "normal" focal length lens for a system. Pentax offers a 90mm as well. A 90mm is the norm for 6x7, but I liked the 105mm because it was more affordable, faster, and equivalent to a 55mm in 35mm format. It would still make a great portrait lens despite preferences to use a mild telephoto for portraits. Strengths: An open aperature of 2.4, need you say more? Fast, sharp, and handy when you want lots of depth of field. Highest quality lens, and the most affordable lens in the medium format family Weaknesses: Not a leaf shutter lens for thos strobe/flash happy photographers, but then again it would not be a bargin if it were.
