Summary: Works great with the 300/4 ED/IF. Some decrease in sharpness but hardly noticeable. I haven't used it with other lens to be able to comment on it.
Strengths: Size, sharpness and economy of not needing to buy the 400/5.6 lens.
Weaknesses: None
Similar Products Used: 35mm converters but no real comparison here. I have used the P645 2x but find it kinda soft.
