Summary: I got this camera free because I have led several tours to Europe. I certainly wouldn't have paid $799.95 for it, not with the prices of digital cameras dropping as they are. This camera is nice and compact, easy to carry anywhere. It is easy to use, and has all of the basic features one could want. I have made the switch to completely digital and I feel I have saved quite a bit of money by only printing the pictures that are good. Strengths: Easy to use, 3 different modes plus movie mode, 2 compactflash card slots, stand by function, good flash. Weaknesses: The camera developed white lines across the display after only 2 1/2 months of use. It doesn't affect the pictures, but I would expect the camera to work better for much longer! Similar Products Used: Sony mavica Customer Service: Very friendly. They want me to ship the camera to them, they'll fix it and return it within about a week. Problem is, I leave for France on MONDAY! No service locations within 400 miles of me.
