Summary:

I paid quite a bit less than retail for it and it was my 1st digital camera. I have played with a number of others since and I do not recommend this camera unless you get it for really cheap, and even then you will be frustrated often with the results. What a shame since its such a fun and unique design. This was an early generation camera and as such it wasn't so bad, but beware as you may end up feeling like a bad photographer because the shots come out so poorly so often.

Strengths:

Compact Size with LCD removed Lightweight with LCD removed cool design easy transfer with PCMCIA

Weaknesses:

no rechargeable batteries battery life is horrible, especially with LCD poor photo quality in all but the ideal lighting conditions No flash No focus or zoom capture time is long enough that movement blurs under even the best cisrumstances The manual light filter and the manual focus make for many possibilities to screw up.

None

Customer Service:

Had a great deal of trouble in the beginning getting an initial problem resolved with their customer service. AC Adapter was all but impossible to obtain from Panasonic.

Summary:

I wish I had bought a toaster instead. This camera is a real lamer, no flash, marginal picture quality in whatever mode your in, battery eater. Panasonic has no firmware upgrades and don't even try to phone the help line, I think it's really the number to the Iraqi National Bazooki Band (always busy during the those pesky cruise missile seasons). Panasonic, I've bought your last product.

Summary:

The camera has some excellent features. It has a optical as well as digital view finder. The monitor is removable and has good viewing angle adusments. The bad features are: there is no flash and worst of all the 4 triple-A battries do not last very long.

Summary:

I am quite dissapointed in the camera. Other than its shirt pocket compactness (if you remove the LCD), it has no flash, poor focus, and you are lucky to fill the flash card on one set of (4)batteries. The LCD uses another set of (4) batteries and its interface to the camera is clunky and appears that if mishandled could easily be broken. With no flash indoor pictures are nearly impossible and the built in viewfinder is difficult to see through, to sum it up don't waste your money on this one.

Summary:

This camera is very compact and takes nice (not great, but nice) pictures. The size makes it very easy, though the monitor seems to almost be unnecessary.
