Summary:

A great companion to the 35-70/3.5-4.5 (49mm filters) but a little dim in actual use due to the aperture.

Strengths:

It is compact (although a bit longish), sharp and at least moderately contrasty; it also takes 49mm filters.

Weaknesses:

A bit longish. Mine is not multicoated. Not as sharp or contrasty as single focal lengths. Needs the 2 series screen to help focus and visualize.
