Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

This machine is really fast. With its amzing shutter speed down to 1/10000 second and 10x zoom,it''s almost perfect for sports photagraghy. But the problem here is that it got just 1.3 mega pixel-not 3 as you guys sorted.I can''t deny that the picture quality is not bad compared to other 1-2 mega pix cameras. But it''s still no comparable to lots of above-3megapix ones. Not even mentioning that they cost much less. If your major requirement is 10x zoom,go get 2100 or pro90.

Review 2 of 4

Summary:

This camera is by far the best overall balance of resolution, speed, stabilty and zoom possible in any electronic photo device. The resolution and lens place it firmly in the quality digital still camera arena, but the electronic viewfinder, the optically stabilized zoom and the incredible frame rate provide functionality of a video camera. With this balance, there is no digital or film based SLR at any price that can capture what this camera can.

Strengths:

-15 frames/sec at full 1.5Mp resolution. -Optically stabilized 38-380mm zoom. -Can capture upto 5 frames before you press the shutter!! -Full information TTL viewfinder. -Takes both SM & CF media. -Uses standard AA LiMH.

Weaknesses:

-Electronic viewfinder is poor in dark scenes. -Menu system on 5 pages with a couple of hidden levels.

Review 4 of 4

Summary:

I got this camera for the slr and have not been disappointed. Had a point an shoot kodak dc 40 before, but use a slr for 35 mm. Don't even think about a point and shoot if you want decent digital pics. Excellent photo quality! I also got the external flash - it makes a difference vs. the on-camera lens. With a decent photo printer you can get some good prints ... still not quite analog, but this is a good alternative when you are in a hurry to get those shots and get them published quick!

Strengths:

SLR!!! Aperture priority and Shutter priority modes are great for a variety of situations -- but can also be used fairly easy with a low learning curve.

Weaknesses:

EATS BATTERIES FAST!!! VERY FAST! Since it is a new product I've had a hard time finding the specific battery pack for it. The camera plus the external flash will keep energizer in business for a while!
