    Price Paid:  $0.00

    Summary:
More features than Carter has pills, but they only work in brighter light situations

    Strengths:
compact, easy instructions, good battery life, good software

    Weaknesses:
loooooooooonnngggggggg shutter lag on automatic, best for sunlit operation

    Similar Products Used:
    none

    Customer Service:
excellent; Nikon upgraded me to this camera from an earlier one that was, frankly, overpriced junk. I forget the model...entryy level early digital camera.

    Review 2 of 20

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Nikon warranty

    Summary:
Nikon coughed up the 4300 to replace the 3200? that had no viewfinder and took crappy shots. With that I was pleased. Overall, it's a great camera that fits my needs of small size, manual operation from time to time, and flexibility of operational controls.

    Strengths:
size, versatility, software included like Adobe Elements, feel, and a 2 year warranty.

    Weaknesses:
16M card, slow shutter speed, samll LCD window, non-intuitive menu.

    Similar Products Used:
    earlier Nikon 3200?

    Customer Service:
    good, but d@mn slow (Canada)

    Review 3 of 20

    Price Paid:  $600.00 from Second-hand

    Summary:
Bought it used - black body with x2 teleconverter and 128MB CF Very nice camera, gives great results. As any point-and-shoot, has its limitations. Though I'm using Nikon now, at this level I'd recommend buying Canon or Sony

    Strengths:
Nice looking and compact. Takes great colorful pictures. Nice feature set. Has (optional) teleconverters x2/x3.

    Weaknesses:
    Relatively show focusing/writing/aperture

    Similar Products Used:
    Sony DSC-F717

    Customer Service:
    Had no chance to experience

    Review 4 of 20

Price Paid:  $450.00 from can't remember

    Summary:
A few years ago I purchased the 2 MB version of this camera and had been happy with it. When it was stolen last year, I bought the 4300. It had some nice improvements (speed mostly), but the colors were less bright and the focus was much worse. Sometimes this camera takes very nice pictures, but sometimes it doesn't (random I think, due to the focus). Additionally, there are a variety of situations in which it consistently doesn't perform well. It doesn't focus well in low light, and even if it does, everything has a blue cast. If you don't use the flash, everything looks extremely orange.

    Strengths:
Scene modes are good for the non-advanced. Sometimes takes good shots. Good website.

    Weaknesses:
Flash weak. Night focus terrible. Flash gives everything blue cast.

    Similar Products Used:
2 MB version of this camera.

    Customer Service:
    Good.
