    Review 1 of 48

    Price Paid:  $400.00 from B & N Photo

    Summary:
Small, sturdy, and not difficult to use, but it does have drawbacks.

    Strengths:
    Picture quality and size.

    Weaknesses:
It has a slow lag time and the camera takes about 5 minutes to delete an image. I am not impressed. I expected more from Nikon

    Review 2 of 48

    Price Paid:  $300.00 from Amazon

    Summary:
The motor fails and delivers a system error, rendering your camera useless after about 1.5 years of use. VERY common problem. Outside of that. Completely love everything about this camera.

    Strengths:
Great picture quality, great lense, lots of options.

    Weaknesses:
Motor failure. Also tailored for the beginner a little more than what I would want.

    Review 3 of 48

Price Paid:  $297.00 from DG World

    Summary:
Good camera for the price, but didn't last. SYSTEM ERROR after 18-months, of occasional use and well cared for. Repair with only a 90-warranty costs 2/3 cost of new camera with 1-year warranty. Expected much higher reliability from Nikon. You can bet the replacement won't be a Nikon!

    Strengths:
    easy to use, compact

    Weaknesses:
    Shoddy quality, poor red-eye reduction

    Customer Service:
Not prone to inspire customer loyality.

    Review 4 of 48

Price Paid:  $399.00 from The Good Guys

    Summary:
This is the worst camera I have ever owned and that includes my very first camera which was a Mickey Mouse camera where I had to pull Mickey's ear to take a picture. It has twice shut down on me and both times I was in a foreign country. The first time, about a year ago it was a "System Error", found a Nikon discussion board and found it was a very common problem. Sent it to Nikon, poor customer service, took more than 3 months to get it returned, but seemed to work fine until this summer it just would not turn on. Fortunately this time I had another digital camera with me.

    Strengths:
When is works it is a great little camera for traveling. Compact and takes very good pictures.

    Weaknesses:
    It stops working. Customer service.

    Review 5 of 48

Price Paid:  $500.00 from Nikon Sales Singapor

    Summary:
I bought the camera last year in Apr 2002. Since then, it has serve me well in the pictures that I have taken throughout my travels. I carry along my Minolta 500si with the coolpix and it is the latter that proves me the convenience and quality of the pictures I have taken.

    Strengths:
Good depth of field. Sharp. Good colour contrast. Lightweight and handy.

    Weaknesses:
Delay in taking pictures. Doesn't have high shutter speed. Also 2x EN-EL1 batteries konk out after a year plus of usage. Quite disappointed.

    Customer Service:
