Strength:
Value for money & you can have mulitple options of the combinations of the tubes. Used all combinations of these three tubes, excellant value for money. I don't think autofocusing is the weakness since, at such very minute object & high DOF it becomes difficult. |

Strength:
simple, solid and no lens elements high mag. ratio much cheaper than a 100mm macro lens works well with TTL flash and autofocus
Weakness:
autofocus failed to work on normal zoom lens with aperture smaller than f2.8 on the 26mm tube (aperture by a factor of 3x). I found it quite interesting using normal 28-70 zoom with these tubes, but prime lens are best excellent value for money, very solid and easy to use with autofocusing and TTL capability. (better to have f2.8 or better) work best with standard 50mm lens and you can really stop down to make some DOF. (very economical way to step into macro photography) Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Kenlock extension bellows |

Auto Extension Tube Set
Strength:
Exellent sharpness is obtained since no additional glass is in the optical path
Weakness:
must be careful when metering if not using your TTL functions. I like the versatility of the extension tubes. Light weight and inexpensive for travel. Read and understand the light loss effects if you manually meter your subjects. Customer Service none Similar Products Used: closeup lenses and true macro lens |

Auto Extension Tube Set
Strength:
Interchangeable for choice of magnification and ease of use.
Weakness:
feels like a set of rolled tin cans otherwise will do its job excellent for close-up/macro photography with 1:1 or more magnification. Electronic contacts work well with my Minolta AF and TTL meter. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: close-up diopters +3, +4 |

Auto Extension Tube Set
Strength:
very handy...fits on every lens (especially nice when used on your tele lens)
Weakness:
sometimes the system that hooks on the meter of the body doesn't 'lock' extremely useful when out in the field and you need 2 get closer 2 your subject...they even link the electronic contacts between the lens and the body...just a bit pricy (but all photographic equipment seems 2 be expensive) Customer Service no need for that yet Similar Products Used: nope |

Strength:
AF focus
Weakness:
expensive for a no optic tube There is always some crack sound, when I use all the three tubes with my 80-200 f/2.8.You have to pay extreme attention because it is easy to break when using with a +1kg lens. So, buyers should try to get the most solid one among the other brands. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: n/a |

Strength:
Makes any lens capable of macro photography. There is NO distortion due to no glass elements (it's just a hollow tube). With the correct combination, you can get your subject focused, even when it's right up against the glass of your lens! There is no limits with this.
Weakness:
Makes for slow autofocus, but in macro photography, you aren't exactly chasing down race horses. This makes for a very slight weakness. If you want excellent macro photography without paying ridiculous prices for a "pro-macro lens" that STILL have a minimum focusing distance, then go for this extension kit - absolutely indispensable. One note however, when using a zoom lens with these, the magnification and focusing are both used by the focusing ring AND zoom ring - it takes a little bit of time to get used to but not difficult when you figure it out.
