Strength:
Sharp optics. Portable. A great "gotcha" lens.
Weakness:
Sometimes the ring blur is a bit distracting. Sometimes F8 just isn't fast enough for handheld shots. I originally purchased this lens for film, and I loved it then. I now mount it on my D70 and love it even more because I now have the power to correct exposure mistakes. I set the D70 on M, keep the shutter speed at least 250, and then make any exposure corrections later on a PC. I generally hand-hold, using structure for support when available. A tripod would be better, but one of the reasons why I like this lens is for it's portability. This has become my favorite lens. Customer Service Not yet required. |

Strength:
Light weight, Sharp. Low cost in comparison to the 500 F4 or 600 F4
Weakness:
Slow but hey it is a mirror lens This is a terrific longish tele lens if you do not mind the f 8 constant setting. Use it to shoot motorsports and have gotten terrific results. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: 500 F4 600 F4 |
