Strength:
Very compact size, probably only Canon smaller in overall size. Very clear TTF viewer, although somewhat small. Excellent picture quality. Easy to use, point and shoot, very little lag time between depressing shutter and shooting, quick continuous shots (in burst mode, without flash, about 2 shots per 1.5 seconds). I love its small size, very sexy!
Weakness:
Small view screen, although very clear and bright. Has annoying clicking noise when recording sound in video mode. Could have more internal buffer. Flash could have been brighter. Kind of expensive, probably a factor of its recent introduction, prices should dip to the $500s. This is supposed to be the top camera for the Olympus "D" (casual user) series, it really competes with many excellent 3 megapixel cameras from top brands. The picture quality is similar to the Olympus C-3030, similar details and contrast. It is very convenient, takes excellent pictures (at HQ quality, just over 900kb jpeg file), great video(mov format, up to 33 seconds per shot) and fairly easy menu system. Customer Service Have not used them yet. Similar Products Used: Olympus C-3030, D-460, Nikon 880, Sony 3900. |
