Good site
Weakness:
none I recently bought an Om 10 and two Zuiko lenses, plus Olympus flash and loads of goodies from an antique shop down south. I paid £30.00 for the box. The lenses are indeed superb. The camera body and accessories are immaculate. I've also just bought a 35-105 Zuiko. I found razor sharpness and terrific contrast from the results so far, so I can't wait to use the latest find. |

Strength:
Compact, extremely well built, excellent optical qualities
Weakness:
None I purchased this lens over a decade ago - long before I switched to digital photography and back to film again. I use it on my OM-1n and OM-2S. It is a phenomenal lens and is the one usually mounted on the camera I am using. Bright and easy to focus, world-class optics, holds its zoom setting, great macro - just a terrific all-around lens. Pictures are always sharp, colors true and contrast just right. Yes, it lacks a true long zoom capability, but for 95% of the shots that I take, this is the one to use. I will never sell it. Strength:
Very sharp and contrasty - perfect for slides.
Weakness:
Wide end is only 35. I'd prefer to have 28 at the wide end, but that's just my preference. Versatile lens with superb optical quality.

Strength:
good range; nice close-up ability; compact (like all Zuikos, really)
Weakness:
I can't help but think that it would have been nicer if it were a bit faster and a constant aperture This lens is terrific. It's surprising really -- with modern top-of-the line pro zooms, you expect good performance, but most people look askance at older zooms. yet this one yields really good photos -- sharp, contrasty, lovely. I'm surprised at how many of my most successful photos were taken with this lens. I can't say how much lens to lens variation there is, but mine is a gem. Since they're all used, they're usually at very affordable price. Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: Wide range of Olympus lenses |

Strength:
Focal length is convenient. Light weight.
Weakness:
Very soft and unsharp for anything over 4x6. Color contrast is not as good as the better zooms. I was told this lens is made by Tokina which may account for the lesser build quality than the zuiko line. I'm afraid I found the lens very dissapointing. Strength:
Excellent lens overall. Extremely sharp with excellent contrast through it's zoom range and all f-stops. The macro function is also excellent.
Weakness:
None I used the Sigma II 35-105mm for six years and was never totally satisfied with it's performance. I switched to the Zuiko 35-70mm f/4 and did not like the absence of a depth of field scale. I have found the 35-105mm Zuiko outstanding for all phases of normal photography. I have used the macro (close-up) function which resulted in fantastically sharp and contrasty images. I would recommend this lens to anyone engaged in outdoor, group, portrait or basic macro photography. What else can I say other than it's a keeper! Customer Service No need to date. Strength:
Super sharp, sturdy and push-type mechanism. I hate twist zooms! More coverage than the 35-70's. Excellent macro. Great travel, glamour, and studio lens.
Weakness:
NONE I bought my first 35-105 ten years ago and made the mistake of selling it. I happily bought a new one this year on Ebay. It's well worth $200. You won't find a more versatile zoom lens from generic makers or even from Nikon! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: No other pro-zooms. |
