Strength:
Light weight and decent picture quality. priced right. Big zoom ring makes it easy to find.
Weakness:
Not really up to par with the $400 to $500 lenses. Lens is OK. Not much more to describe it. Not impressed and not dissappointed. Not bad for the money but it has its limatations. I use it on my D30 and find that it degrades what the camera can actually do. Just ordered the Canon 28-200. From what I have research, the 28-200 is a much stronger lens. OK...it's twice the price but you know. You get what you pay for! |

Strength:
Consistant sharpness, light weight, fast USM.
Weakness:
f5.6 at 55mm, but what would you expect for around $100 Surprisingly good sharpness for the price. very convienient range. Match this with a 100mm or 135mm, and you are all set to travel and travel light. Will make decent 8x10''s Customer Service none yet. Strength:
Good continuation from the 22-55 I also have.Compact, very quiet. Images have been sharp considering the zoom range.
Weakness:
I faster maximum aperture or a constant max would be great. The 22-55 and 55-200 are the preferred lenses for the EOS IX Lite. Follow Canon's lead on this one. Customer Service No need to find out yet Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Compact, Light weight, Starting range of 55mm made it more versatile than 80mm.
Weakness:
Barrel slides out. Must point camera upward. Not fast enough for indoor photos. Handy outdoor, casual shooting lense. Good compromise for weight and size. Go for 75-300mm USM for more serious shooting. Similar Products Used: 75-300mm USM. A bit too heavy to hang around my neck all day. Beyond 200mm, a monopod is necessary. |

Fast Focus
Weakness:
Barrel is too loose. Just hanging it over your shoulder will cause the lens to fully extend to maximum zoom. Excellent lens for the price when taking outdoor shots of people. Not as good when taking picutres indoor. Customer Service Haven't needed Similar Products Used: Quantaray 28-80 |

cheap construction, virtually impossible to manual focus, vignetting This lens is not worthy of being sold. Canon should be ashamed of themselves for even offering such a hunk of junk. This was the first lens that I bought (on reccomendation I'd like to add) Even though I was a complete novice @ the time I knew something was wrong other than I didn't know how to take a picture. I actually only used it a few times the image quality was so bad. This past summer I sold it back to a store for $100, and even though I got screwed I still felt I was one up on them, because I got rid of the piece of crap without having to throw it away! Customer Service ? Similar Products Used: I just ordered a Sigma 70-200f/2.8 I'll let you know. |
