Strength:
Sharp pictures.14X optical zoom. IS is great. 28mm wide. Carry in pocket. Weight. Full HD video with zoom while recording. Screen is a good size. GPS. Manual controls. New HS system takes great low light shots. Battery life.
Weakness:
Screen is hard to see in bright light. No viewfinder. Larger than most point/shoot cameras and the lens area protrudes. The lens cover that moves over to protect the lens when closed is susceptible to getting smooshed in when carried in a pocket or pack without a case. Flash location being a pop up can be a little annoying. Hands down the best compact point/shoot I've every owned. Pictures come out sharp. The 14X optical zoom is money and the IS is great. It's wide at 28mm for those self portrait summit pics! Even though slightly larger than most point/shoots, it still fits in my pocket and isn't terrible heavy. Full HD video is great. I can zoom in and out while recording. Screen is a good size. GPS is fun as you can see where you've taken your shots. There are manual controls, but honestly it's pretty good at picking the best setting for you and I don't like to say it, but green box is better with this. The new HS system takes great low light shots, as well as all the other settings.
