VERY GOOD build quality, better than S4i. AA batteries. Compact. Sexy design. Lots of features. Big zoom.

Not very quick in low light conditions. Flash takes time to charge, longer than most.

A very well put together compact digital camera! I was going to buy the S4i but the S40 is a lot cheaper with exactly the same features. It also takes normal AA size batteries which make it ideal for people on the move. Quality is high and I easily get sharp A3 size prints. Not the quickest of cats but a good everyday compact!
